FOLDING BIKE CHALLENGE  2009
SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED BUT LOOK OUT FOR 2010 EVENTS!

If you're up for something a bit heroic, we invite you to come and join the inaugural Folding Bike Challenge and show what you and your beloved folder are made of. Whether you've got a Dahon, Brompton, Mezzo, Dawes, Birdy, Bike Friday, Airnimal, Raleigh, or Pashley-Moulton; whatever it is-as long as it folds, you're in.

In September the Folding Bike Challenge will take our troupe of up to 100 hardened fold-up enthusiasts to the foot of the Eiffel Tower, with four days of pedal-pushing comradeship, some fine French food en route, a glass or two of bubbly at the finish, and if you're still up for it, a bit of sightseeing with your folding friend. It's not a race or some form of tortuous pusuit event - more of a rally with some great stop-offs.

  • Just £99 to reserve your place on this historic event.

  • Fundraise for either British Heart Foundation or Scope, our two charity partners or simply self-fund and have a great time.

  • London to Portsmouth, overnight ferry to Caen, then on to Paris via the beautiful Normandy countryside. Full support team all the way.

  • Food and accommodation provided; celebratory bash and prize giving in Paris. Eurostar back to London.
NEWS UPDATE:
The 2009 Folding Bike Challenge was a fantastic event and all  riders made it safely to Paris and celebrated. We were joined by a group of French Bromptons on the final leg and a full write up of the trip will appear here soon.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARIES:
We will be organising a Cambridge to London Folding Bike Challenge over the early May 2010 Bank Holiday weekend - 60 miles on 1 day with lunch en route, and we're looking for a few hundred folders to join up. Also a new European event on 8 to 12 September '10 for the adventurous.

Full details of both trips will be posted here soon.
